CircuTex Project at IN-RED Congress 2023

CIRCUTEX project was presented, at the IX Congress on Educational Innovation and Teaching (INRED 2023) held on 14-15 July 2023, at the Universitat Politècnica de València – Spain.

The conference, held under the theme “Transformative Teaching Models for Lifelong Learning”, will address questions such as: What learning environments can be valuable for learners? What kind of educational practices should be encouraged to promote high-impact learning experiences? What role can technologies play in this scenario?

The project was introduced, the use of virtual reality as a technological tool in training was presented, as well as the experiments developed in the virtual laboratory.

2nd transnational meeting in Kaunas on the Circutex Project

2nd transnational meeting in Kaunas!

On 24.01.2023, in Kaunas University of Technology campus, Lithuania, the second transnational meeting took place, within the Erasmus+ project 2021-1-ES01-KA220-HED-000032075 with the title: “Circular economy in fibrous composites and technical textiles using virtual laboratories” (CircuTex).

All partner institutions – UNIWA (Greece), IDEC (Greece), UO (Romania), UPV (Spain) and the host institution KTU (Lithuania)- actively participated in the meeting where issues related to the evolution of the project of all the items (Intellectual Outputs, Dissemination Activities, Quality Plan, Exploitation Plan and Financial Management) were discussed and deadlines were set for each activity to comply with the established planning.

4 experiments of the virtual laboratory were presented and shown using the VR glasses. All attendees tried the glasses and were able to access the virtual environment and perform the experiments related to the identification of textile fibres.

The CircuTex Project at the conference “Europe – New Textile Projects for a New Economy”.

On 2 November 2022, the conference “Europe – New textile projects for a new economy” was held on the Vera campus of the Universitat Politècnica de Valéncia, within the framework of activities of the “Sustainable Fashion: Textiles of the future” programme. It was a day where several lecturers participated and discussed the latest research and innovations in the textile sector: recycling, circularity, sustainability… which are the challenges that the sector is facing urgently.

Pablo Díaz, head of the CircuTex project, was one of the lecturers who participated in the conference with the presentation of the project “Circular economy in fibrous composites and technical textiles through the use of virtual laboratories”. The conference was held in person but was also broadcast in streaming through UPV-[Media]. It was attended by a large number of people, mainly students from the university, companies, organisations and institutions from the textile sector.
