ROADMAP TO MICROCREDENTIALS

The roadmap contains policy recommendations for the application of microcredentials in partner HEIs.

The roadmap includes the instructions on how to appoint common ECTS points and how to issue digital diplomas and certificates to learners in a European-wide digital format of ‘Europass Digital Credentials’.

The roadmap will ensure that a more diverse group of learners have access to alternative, validated learning opportunities such as the eLearning course.

The set of recommendations is aimed at helping policymakers and HEIs in each country on how they can include microcredentials courses in their national qualification frameworks and how to apply standard recognition procedures to microcredentials.

The recommendations for policymakers will highlight how a high-quality, innovative, and learner-centered eLearning course offered by partner HEIs can be enhanced through the flexibility that micro-credentials can offer.
